Getting you started

When you join us, you’ll be provided with a thorough induction that will be conducted partly in your home site, but also give you the opportunity to share your new start with other colleagues joining us at the same time, you will be invited to a Learning event in our Banbury Centre of excellence.

BFS Academy

Currently we run an academy for Sales and Operations colleagues, open to external candidates, which runs annually. The programme is 18 months in length and consists of internal placements and rotations to other areas of the business and visits with external partners. The learning is a combination of ‘in house’ workshops, underpinned with an Apprenticeship Level 4 learning journey to achieve the qualification and professional certification from the professional body Association of Sales Professional APS). We are working with T4C to deliver this academy.

Internal Apprenticeship Programme

We have a number of cohorts working towards job specific apprenticeships including, HR, L&D, Finance supported by dedicated external providers.

Leadership Pathway

We run an internal Leadership programme at level 3 which provides successful candidates with an Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM) qualification working with Raise the Bar as a provider.

Global Mentoring Network

We have a wealth of knowledge and experience across 11 countries to draw upon when you take part in our Mentoring Network.

You can choose to be either a Mentor or a Mentee. What’s important to us is that you get involved.

The Network will help you if you have an expertise or specialism you want to learn or that you can use to grow others.

Secondments and rotations

We structure our secondments and rotations by matching you to:
